Louise Melikian

London Business School 2007, MBA

I'm eager to help my fellow classmates with their exciting, creative way of contributing to an important cause. Although I plan on getting a motorcycle permit one day (probably during a mid-life crisis), I currently prefer to live vicariously through Luca and Anu.  I look forward to experiencing firsthand the riders' adventure and relaying the challenge faced by the boys to friends, sponsors and the media.

Why did you decide to get involved in the Project Mongolia?
The cause in itself, helping the children of Mongolia, is the primary reason.  Also, upon graduation from London Business School, I would like to claim that I was part of a team of World Class MBAs who made a local impact. Lastly, I hope that with this trip we can encourage future students to help out with humanitarian causes in their own original way and set a precedent that will inspire the future LBS generation to carry a similar project out as yearly tradition!

What skills do you think you bring to the base team?

I truly enjoy contributing to the LBS community and know the importance of being able to motivate, encourage and support others during any team-oriented task.   I consider this to be one of my strengths, whether it's as Women's Touch Rugby Captain to win a game or as WIB Finance Liaison to guide female students during their job hunt or as WIB Conference sponsorship chair to raise funds. I look forward to providing home support for the riders to carry out their mission as planned and reach the goals they've set out for themselves.
